Could Latrell Sprewell end up with in Denver when it’s all said and done?
Sprewell’s agent Bob Gist told the Rocky Mountain News that Latrell definitely has interest in the Nuggets. "His good buddy (Marcus Camby) is there," Gist said. "He likes (Karl)." At first, this sounds like a far out idea, but when you think about it enough, it makes sense.
First of all, George Karl loves Marcus Camby, perhaps his favorite player on the team. Camby is also great friends with Spree, and if he pushes hard enough, it might just happen.
The Market will dictate that Latrell will most likley end up in the 5-6 million range, which the Nuggets have available. Even though his is getting on in years, Latrell can still provide 30 minutes a night, and have someone like DerMarr backing up. So far, agent Bob Gist hasn’t heard from the Nuggets, but whose to say it will stay that way.
Nuggets fan’s should prefer having both Sprewell and Nene, rather than trading Nene to the Kings for Mobley. Just another two guard possibly being fitted for one of the best vacant positions in the NBA. |
